Instructions
Cut the puff pastry into 4 rectangles.
Spread pesto on one rectangle.
Place a new rectangle on top and spread with tomato paste.
Continue until you finish with a rectangle.
Cut strips and twist them into a long string and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake the pesto twisters at 200°C (convection) for 10 - 15 minutes.

I fell in love with pastizzi in Malta and believe they should also be enjoyed in Denmark! They are super easy and quick to make and get a delicious crust from the crispy phyllo dough. Original pastizzi have an elongated shape, but I have chosen to make them as squares here.
