Nutella Swirls

Preparation time: 30 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Servings: 8

If you like cinnamon rolls and cardamom twists, these Nutella swirls are just for you! Here, I've made homemade Nutella, which is really easy and has a distinct and delicious taste of roasted hazelnuts. Of course, you can also just use the original Nutella from a jar. The dough for the Nutella swirls is a brioche dough, which makes it deliciously soft and not too sweet.

  13. Briefly warm the Nutella so it is easy and soft to spread
  14. Spread Nutella over 2/3 of the dough from the short end
  15. Fold the top 1/3 over the middle, and then the bottom over the middle so there are two layers with Nutella
  16. Gently roll the dough out again until it measures about 20 x 35 cm
  17. Cut 8 strips along the long side and roll them from one end to the other
  18. Place the swirls on a baking sheet and let them rise for 1 hour
  19. Bake the Nutella swirls for 20 minutes at 180°C conventional oven and sprinkle with pearl sugar
  20. Bake the swirls for an additional 5 minutes so the sugar melts slightly
