Cookies with Smarties

Soft and chewy cookies filled with crispy, colorful Smarties. Perfect for both everyday and guests, and especially a hit with children.

Cookies with Smarties

Ingredients

  • 150 g brown sugar
  • 120 g sugar
  • 150 g butter
  • 1 egg
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla sugar
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 150 g Smarties
  • Smarties for topping

Instructions

  1. Beat brown sugar, sugar, and butter together
  2. Add the egg and continue beating
  3. Mix in salt, vanilla sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and flour
  4. Coarsely chop Smarties and fold them into the dough
  5. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for at least an hour
  6. Shape the dough into balls and place them on a baking sheet with plenty of space between them
  7. Coarsely chop extra Smarties and press them into the balls
  8. Bake cookies for 15 minutes at 180°C conventional oven
